Phase I for countries around India

There are quite a few countries that I can include in an annual overview. Choices had to be made when grouping them. The Europe of the EU (including some nearby jurisdictions) and the Americas were easily identified as groups. My version of the Far East could be related to simple criteria and so could much of Africa. I also chose to group together:

  • first: a group of countries around and in relation to India,
  • second: mainly Islamic countries bordering the Mediterranean,
  • third: a group of countries around and under the influence of Arab culture,
  • fourth, a group of previously mainly communist countries around Russia.

Here is an overview of the first week of 2021 of the group of countries around and in relation to India. There are 12. The graphs identify the countries with standard codes of three letters. They stand for Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Thailand respectively.
